DESCRIPTION
Pezula Golf Estate , one of South Africa’s most prestigious golfing destinations recently carried out a full upgrade of their access control solution and just like their unwavering commitment to quality and high standards , the new upgrades would need to meet the highest of standards.
Bidvest Protea , headed up by Mr Tyrell Polglase in the Eastern and Southern Cape were awarded the contract to install an access control solution that would incorporate the Hotel, the Homeowners association and the Golf Estate , a significant task. Apart from the integration of all 3 facilities into one centralized admin facility , the vast distances between the various access points and administrative centre would also provide a sizeable challenge , one that would be over come via the use of an optic fibre infrastructure and backbone along with the composition of highly reliable hardware peripherals.
Apart from other internally situated electronic peripherals the success of the installation would be gauged on the quality and reliability of the boom operators and biometric readers , the access perimeter alone would require control of over 10 access roads. After careful consideration, Mr Polglase decided to go with Centurion’s range of boom operators and Sagem’s biometric range of readers to complete the solution , a decision that will see the access control measures at the Pezula Golf Estate compliment the high standards associated with this internationally recognized destination.
